Keep Your Heart Healthy and Your Man Happy

Are men happier in their marriage if their wife has big bucks or a small stomach?  Yep, you guessed it, men really are as shallow as we think (but we still love em')!  Our waistline is the glue that holds us together - not that wanting us for money is much better.  Anyway, you know what that means ladies - time to get movin’!  And if you’re not motivated by yourself, then I’ll help you reach your goals to a better and fitter you.
To start your quest to a happier marriage , or to have one someday (like myself) , follow these simple steps :
  1. Watch what you eat! Seriously!  We all “know” what to do, we just don’t necessarily do it.
  2. Make sure you’re eating well balanced and portion controlled meals.
  3. Eat snacks!  Small snacks that have more fiber and protein are better choices than others, since they leave you feeling fuller longer and usually have a lower caloric intake.  This will help you from eating too much at meals.
  4. If you have a sweet tooth, like I do,  don’t deprive yourself of treats.  I eat chocolate every day – usually just three pieces of solid milk or dark chocolate – but it’s enough to satisfy my sweet tooth without over doing it.
  5. Have WINE!   Wine has anti-aging effects.  It has been proven to help prevent cancer, ulcers, heart problems, stroke, etc.  Also, it helps strengthen bones in women! Keep in mind that red grapes tend to have more health benefits than white.  Keep your consumption in check!  Try not to have more than two glasses per night.   Too much of a good thing is usually… bad.
  6. Last but definitely not least, WORKOUT!  Keep it simple.  Pick three exercises.  For example: push-ups, squats, and crunches.  Do five sets of each with ten reps in each set.  On other days, add a little variation into each exercise.   Here are a few examples of each:
  • Squats – do a shoulder press with it, jump up in between reps, use a medicine ball, etc.
  • Push-ups – decline,  use dumbbells and do a row in between sets, clap your hands in between sets, etc.
  • Crunches – bicycle crunch, toe touch crunch, medicine ball oblique twist, etc.
Be creative!
In summary, Drink wine, eat chocolate, and workout!  Just kidding – there’s a little more to it than that.  Just make healthy choices with your meals and snacks, and WATCH YOUR PORTIONS!  Then you should be fine.   Don’t deprive yourself though, the key is MODERATION.  However, if you ever over indulge, just let me know and we’ll amp up your workout ;)
Be a little less lazy, a lot more strong, a little less fat, and a lot happier in your thong - I mean marriage!
